BADMAC Noise Policy

Beverley and District Model Aircraft Club are governed by the planning consent agreed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council when the 'Change of Use' planning consent was first approved.
The current regulation agrees that the noise level from model aircraft will not exceed 80dbA (decibels) measured at a distance of 7 metres from the aircraft at a test height of 1 metre in all aspects. This regulation conforms to the current testing requirement set by the BMFA.

Note: The current BMFA noise level for testing model aircraft is not to exceed 82dbA.

All new models which will be flown at the BADMAC flying field MUST be tested prior to the first flight, any models that have been 'modified' in such a manner that it may change the noise emitted from the aircraft must also be re-tested.

All model aircraft noise testing will be recorded in the BADMAC club database for possible future reference.
